Totem Student Spotlight!

This is a space to showcase our AMAZING Totem students! 
We love supporting them in all of their endeavors. 

This is Ryleigh- Totem Senior Class of 2024!  She started homeschooling with Totem January 2021 and hasn't looked back! We never thought we would be a homeschooling family, but we are so grateful for the opportunities Totem has enabled us to do. 

Ryleigh has always wanted to go into the medical field and has taken specialized courses (such as Anatomy) as part of her High School classes.  She decided to start her career by becoming a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant).  This is a great field for her due to her empathetic and caring personality. 

She was able to complete her CNA program December 2023 during her Senior year. Her Totem Homeschool allotment paid for most of it! She was also able to do Work Study for credit during her senior year where she gained some valuable experience by helping to take care of some elderly friends and family.  

It is extremely helpful that she was able to get her CNA Certification, and have on the job training, all while getting high school credits and not having to worry about the financial aspect! She has taken full advantage of the opportunities homeschooling with Totem has offered, and she has a great head start in life! Ryleigh will be able to graduate and immediately have a job in a field with high demand.
